Hey yall, a little intro about me, before i get to the point.
My name is Martin, im 31 yrs old and from Texas, i got 2 boys, a 1 and 2 year old they mean the world and much more to me, and are the primary reason im working on getting my CDL. I've wanted to drive a Rig since i was kid watching my father drive one. As i got older i began losing interest in wanting to drive a truck, the more time that past the more it seemed like it was just phase i was growing out of. I turned 18, grauduated, and went on to make a life career out of the military, it didnt go as planned so now im here, 20 years later wanting to turn that childhood dream into a reality.
So here we go... For the past month ive been studying as much material as i can about obtaining my CDL and have chosen to get it through company sponsored CDL training. I have applied for several companies and received some offers but havent chosen a specific sponsor yet. Can anyone tell me how much time i have to accept any offer? Is it a 30 day or 60 day only deal?
The reason im asking is cause im trying to get everything with my boys straightened out hopefully within a month or so and i can focus on getting my CDL but dont want to have to settle or have to reapply because i didnt sign on within a certain time period.
Any and all help or advice on this is appreciated. Thanks.
