Staying in shape while driving?

I'm about to start trucking for the first time, and I know for women it can be very sketchy outside and at truck stops. I would plan on working out while on my 30 minute breaks or after I shut down at night, but I don't want to draw any attention to myself or jog too far away from the safety of my truck and have something happen to me. My health is very important and I don't want to get obese on the road. Any ideas ladies?

Applying for Prime in about a month. Worried about being denied.

Freaking out over something you can’t control is fruitless. Call a recruiter, go over your concerns & fill out the application if they give you the green ligh. If the stars in in alignment then poof! You’re on a greyhound to whatever training facility they assign you to.

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket either. I was originally told I didn’t qualify by my first prime recruiter. I then filled out applications at Knight, Swift & CFI. All three gave me the thumbs up. Not satisfied with being denied by Prime, I called again & spoke to a different recruiter who told me that they didn’t understand why the first recruiter denied me. I was given the thumbs up, did my training & am now in my own truck having dropped my first 2.5 loads. It really doesn’t matter where you start. It’s what you do with that opportunity that will determine your future in this industry. Good luck. 👍

Thank you! That is very encouraging. The one reason I wouldn't want to go with another company is because my friend would be training me with Prime. I'm a young female and I just want to go into this with some sort of security and familiarity. I know it sounds silly but it definitely sweetens the deal.

Applying for Prime in about a month. Worried about being denied.

I have been considering this for a long time, and I finally decided I am 100% sure this is what I want to do. My only problem is it has been so hard to find work these past few years. I just recently moved to California and before that I did a lot of moving around in NY. I've probably had about a total of 10 ****ty part time jobs over the past few years. Either they weren't paying well, I wasn't getting enough hours, or I changed towns. I'm very serious about wanting to drive for prime, I even have a friend who is a trainer and he will train me. Do you guys think my spotty work history will be a problem? I've been a full time student since 2013 so that at least shows I've been busy. I had an accident at the beginning of 2015 but I don't think that will be an issue because it's been over 3 years. Basically I'm going to spend this next month freaking out about whether I'm going to be denied or not. I don't know what to do.
