Prime' s employment verification/background...being sent home
DO THEY CARE IF YOU'VE BEEN FIRED FROM NON DRIVING JOBS? What do they ask employers when they call? Also it is indeed 10 years at orientation regardless of commercial experience....
I wouldn't sweat it. The reason why they need a complete verifiable history is to make sure you were not training to become a terrorist over seas.

They just want a complete picture for three yrs with out any past trucking experience. Ten yrs if you have trucking experience. If you were laid off/unemployed, they need it verified. Your recruiter knows this. It will hold you up if there are any gaps in getting cleared to get your badge and vest to go over to the main facility to begin training. Make sure your get with your recruiter regarding any gaps because that is what they will tell you to do when going through orientation. I hope this answers your question. Best of luck.

Moving forward with the one company I really wanted to join!
Good deal Michael. Make sure you get all your work gaps filled, it will hold you up from being cleared to go onto the main facility to begin your first phase of training. I did the medical prescreening before coming to Springfield just to make sure that there would be no problems as well. The entire process is really simple and they work with you if you need any help in any area of passing the exams and tests. Just don't be late for the roll calls, and they stress that from the very start. All the best.

How does a truck driver protect themselves
Wasp spray can shoot a stream up to 20 feet, hit them in the eyes and they have to go to the ER for the antidote. Granted, only talking about protecting yourself from the truck...I COULD just see Rainy strolling through the parking lot with her can of wasp spray...
Wasp spray was recommended here at Prime. Because you never know when you might need it when you have to pick up a trailer that has been sitting up for a while in the summer time. Right?

And any heart issues will be scrutinized of course. More than likely you will have to go through a stress test (or two) and have those results sent along with a doctors letter stating that you are able to operate CMV.
A-fib is common and most ppl do not even know they even have it. An Irregular heart beat will be picked up and again must be addressed with a doctor's certification.

as for the apnea, there is 2 forms, the genetic and the weight/age kind. even if you lose weight, you cant improve genetic apnea. however, the others such as myself can lose weight and get off the machine.
either way, being fat wont get you sent home.
When I was younger and in the gym two times a day, they said I rocked the house with my snoring Just thinking back. I guess I had it all along.

Yea, the BMI and neck size is all about seeing if you must take a sleep study to see if you have sleep apnea (per D.O.T. regulation). But even then, there are a lot of ppl that do not meet those threshold numbers and suffer from it. So... go figure???

There were a few ppl in my class that got snagged on the work history gaps. They will give you until the following Monday to get it worked out. The big ones is to come clean both in urine and criminal back ground and do not be late for roll calls.
