Anyone else have a bit of OCD with backing?

I don't have that issue. I back it perfect every time on the first shot. J/K of course. Its not even an OCD thing. I like to center the space I'm dropping in. If everyone took a few seconds to do it things would be easier. Ever pick up a trailer and have to ask the yard dog to move it because some lame driver dropped his 3 inches from yours and the landing gear handle can't turn? So have i and it sucks. I feel its more a matter of respect and common courtesy for your fellow drivers. Something this industry lacks enough of IMHO.

Can wind move a trailer?

That is strange. I seriously doubt it is being physically moved by wind. The wind does however shake it like that when you get a good gust.

Trucking trashers

Canaan, the simple and honest answer......

There are a LOT of miserable people in the world, miserable regardless of how life is to/for them. Just how they are wired, every cable in their brains were plugged into the same outlet, the miserable outlet. They are happy being miserable and are much, much more happy when making others miserable as well. These same miserable people make up 99% of the terminal rat crowd. You could give them a million dollars cash and they'd complain because it wasn't two million.

Little bit tight spot.

double-quotes-start.png

Looks like fresh scrape marks on 53199 no? May have been the open door if you parked 86642. Loud booms don't happen without a cause. Not downing you as that is a tight spot but something connected. Like a tree falling in the forest, if you heard it, it happened.

double-quotes-end.png

that was my first thought too but I checked that side, saw the scrapes before I got in the hole. Was clear. Checked the doors too. The boom occurred when I was stopped but was in the hole. Its possible that it was one of the other trucks around me. Ive had that happen before, totally gun shy of it. It sounded like a bomb going off.

Since you was already stopped, if you had hit the switch to drop the air bags I'd bet the pin hooked on the fifth wheel hitch and popped loose when it dropped a little ways. I've had that happen and it does a loud metallic bang. Good job hitting that hole.

COVID Mandates and trucking companies

....all they had to do was write a check and fix the problem, but they never did. Why do they suddenly care so deeply about our health now?

And the truth is, they don't. Never have. Those in power, now more than ever, care about power, money, control and will use any means necessary to get and retain them. There will probably never be a cure to covid just as there isn't one for the flu or a cold but they really don't want a cure. They want to be able to control the virus to use it to control the people. Thats why, imho, they refuse to look at the scientific studies concerning natural immunity, hell, they refuse to acknowledge it exists in most instances. They also refuse to honestly consider its origin...the Wuhan lab. Either accidentally or purposely released. If purposely I'd believe it was done to see what affect it would have on the worlds economy. I i tend to believe it was accidentally released but it was created in the lab to make it easier to transmit in humans. Again, we need not anger China so we just tiptoe around it and make believe the WHO did an impartial and thoroughly competent study and found no proof.

Personally I don't care what political party created the shot or which wants us to take it. However, I don't want it simply because the democrats are trying to sell it as the cure so damn hard and constantly lie about every other possible medication or natural immunity study. They contradict themselves at every turn and don't even get me started on Fauchi. I wouldn't trust him to diagnose a stab wound if the knife was still hanging in me.

This is going to be the new normal for democrats and the scared, they will not let it go, Americans on the whole are over it since we have had ample time to digest the actual facts about covid, meanwhile the democrats in charge continue to fear monger and ignore the science. I have recovered nicely from covid and will not take the shot. Not because of who's pushing it or even because of potential side effects. I will refuse because I have natural immunity, I'm healthy and like my dad always says...if they have to hard sell you on a product, even bringing it to your door to sell you...ya probably don't need it.

That's an excellent move, Brett. IMO, he was only here to Troll: stir up crap and post comments contrary to the majority.

Real or unreal views aside, I hope an actual person such as that does not end up behind a truck's steering wheel.

I for one (im sure most of us as well) have no problem listening to others points of view. That is yet another form of knowledge and research on how I learn, both the right and wrong about any subject. What bothers me is when someone like him posts pure nonsensical BS, claims it as fact and refuses to budge even when presented with facts and data to back it up, failing to have any data to back up his own view. Your feelings are not facts. Just because you feel some kind of way about something doesn't make it right. I had had enough of several of the more recent posters. Good riddance to him and I agree, hope like hell I never have to deal with him in a truck.

If I'm not mistaken I don't have to get the jab unless I chose to. I am the only employee of this company (1099). Is that how this works?
