Worked in healthcare x 11 years now and totally burned out. Ready for a change and have wanted to drive a truck for years now. Can't wait until I can make it happen!
Also - I suck at the "quote" feature on the forum; cut me some slack =D

Yes and PlanB will just drive past you blaring his horn while you are trying to sleep....as if you are supposed to know it is him and chase him lol
This must have just happened to you, Rainy; I swear you were off to bed just a little while ago!

I saw a total of 52 purple trucks today. 90% of them were Prime trucks, most going the other way.
As I'm southeast bound .
I finally saw my first Prime truck (ever!) about 3 weeks ago on I5 NB headed toward Vancouver from Portland. I thought of Rainy and Turtle lol

Prime Training starting 2/18 SLC
Like Rainy said, ask for the larger cuff. It makes a HUGE difference that they use a properly sized cuff!
Good luck tomorrow!

With HIPAA, how are these physical facilities/hiring companies even able to confirm any of the information given by perspective drivers/employees?
Good, bad, right, or wrong.
Or is it all just based on a good faith system?
I'm assuming (and we all know about assuming) that you have to sign some sort of ROI (release of information) so they can get pertinent info. Can anyone confirm?

(I'm sure they don't hate you... at least I hope! LOL)
Well glad to hear you're in one piece and moving! Hope the Pacific NW treats you well over the next few days!

Tractor man, I see on the tracker that you're still stuck? Have you been seeing OSP helping out where you are? Hope you are warm and fed along with everyone else who's stuck out there!

Yeah no doubt, it's a no brainer. The airport is like 3 miles away with several rental agencies open 7 days a week. Gonna take advantage of this opportunity.
Pictures please! =)

Not too sound rude but there is not a chance in hell I would raise my daughter in a semi truck nor could if I wanted too. It is not practical at all. My full size condo has barely enough room. Her energy levels are off the chart which is normal for any 2 yr old but now essentially put here into a closet with all of her toys not too mention all her wipes, diapers, etc and have my wife back there with her sounds crazy to me. And to say 1 to 4 yr olds have wonderful memories also sounds bizarre. I'm not an expert on child safety laws but I didn't even think it was legal to have a child that young in a truck. The kid is going to be couped up in a sleeper 10 plus hours a day
Sounds like pure HELL to me!!! I'd never have the patience for it; it would drive me insane! But that's just me and my tolerance for little kids has dwindled over the years. I get to listen to them yell / scream / cry enough at my current job LOL

Am now one of many in the line up...
I am fairly certain this is what "heaven" looks like =)
I get a little more than excited when I see beautiful rigs on the road and, even more so, when I see a lineup of them like this. Road trips feed my soul and I'm dying to road trip to some of the truck stops in the Pacific NW and just photograph the rigs (photography is another passion of mine). Just don't want to seem like a weirdo for taking pix of random people's trucks

I know it's not all fancy and chrome-covered and doesn't have the cool looking vertical exhaust but (to me) this is an incredibly beautiful rig! I love the shape of Freightliners and this color is gorgeous. *IN LOVE*

I can only hope that once I start driving, I run in to more guys w/ your mindsets than those jack-a$$es out there that think they know it all and are so far above everyone else!
Nice job, Jamie!

Rainy writes R+++ books too! If my math is correct R+++ = X. She posted about her "dirty stories" a couple of years back. Scour her archives, I'm sure you'll find it.
That's way more my speed!
