Finally Got Me Another Trucking Job!!!!!!!!!

Im a current Swift employee and I'm happy. There are a ton of oppurtunities within Swift. With everything from dedicated accounts, which are very numerous to local work. I'm currently on a dedicated account that travels all over the country. I'm in tours and trades and me and 3 other drivers are dedicated to Marvel Universe Live. It's a sweet gig I drive a grand total of about a day a week. Spend 2 days backing 28 trailers into docks to get unloaded then get to play tourist in whatever major city we happen to be in till Sunday. Load ins for me are Tuesday and Wednesday then the rest of the time is mine to do with whatever I want unless they need something.

Swift trucking

Nope no lumpers. If your haulin tires you unload them and get paid for it. If it's appliances the Sears people unload it.

Swift trucking

I've been with Swift for over a year now and can't complain really. For most of my first year I ran a dedicated Sears account out of Dallas, tx and now I'm in tours and trades and I'm hauling for Marvel Universe Live. Real sweet gig I got now. We are in Florida right now. I drive 1 day a week, back trailers for 1 1/2 days and then get several days off to play tourist in whatever city we are in. This week we will be going to Orlando. So Disney world here we come.

I LEFT TRAINERS TRUCK!!!

Ain't that the truth Daniel. Heck I got more miles on a dedicated account than that. I would have put down somewhere between 98-100k for the year of I would have stayed on the dedicated Sears account.

Anyone have experience with SWIFT?

I currently drive for Swift and I was on a Sears dedicated account for a year with them and ran 2200-2500 miles a week and was home just about every weekend. Just recently I got into the tours and trades division and I currently haul for a live show, Marvel Universe. It's a pretty sweet gig and a very hard division to get into.

Pretty cool opportunity with Swift

I know you said salary but can you clue us in with a hint of how much it pays and congrats

Not entirely sure yet because I haven't gotten that first check but it should be somewhere around a grand.

My mentor talked about that gig. He helped them out once when they were short on drivers. I'd love to try something like that out.

Were always short on drivers. There are 4 of us dedicated to the account and there are 29 trailers we move to each venue. We call in line haul and OTR drivers each week to help us move.
