You're incredibly vague about everything that happened which is one of the ways we know you're full of baloney. Also:

Do I like Trucking - Do I Love Trucking - yep .. Am I safe , hard working, good planner, willing to stay out on the road months on end, do what ever it takes? and again put Safety First and protect my CDL? ...yep...

So I am ready to tarp in the rain, the snow the blood and the mud and clock miles.................................

How do you know all that? It sounds like you barely made it a week at your first attempt.

Unfortunately most of the people who take a shot at this career get their asses handed to them. It's just too demanding. You really have to be an extraordinary person to thrive in this industry. So until you get out there and prove to people that you have what it takes to perform at a high level consistently everyone is just going to figure you're another one that won't be around long. So far you've proven that to be the case. Oh trust me, everyone that lasts a week has what they feel is a solid excuse. But the trucking industry isn't looking for people who quit right away with a solid excuse. They're looking for people who are going to stick it out for the long term and get the job done out there. Those are the people who make the big bucks and help trucking companies succeed.

Dunn & Bradstreet? How do you evaluate good companies from bad ones.........companies hire recruiting services to respond to potential new hires - I've always heard it's not what the recruiters say it's what they don't say..................Your thoughts?

Well I should have researched better so knowledge is what I need - I love trucking , hell I even droppped my first deuce in the truck and been using the same gatorade bottle like a champ - truth in trucking. If you're word is your bond then it was broke and I had planned to stay or go based on this word - Recruiter said between $1400-$1800 weekly - currently my needs are to pay down debt! So to find out it was under $1000.00 was a let down - that's why I'm upset. Do I like Trucking - Do I Love Trucking - yep .. The recruiter said I would be earning between $1400 - $1800 per week. Guys with five years in weren't even getting a $1000.00 per week - Yeah I asked drivers to see their settlement sheets on the app on their phones cause drivers trust other drivers - Everyone here is judging me for watching out for myself and being honest ---- You guys are clearly morons working for for peanuts - judgmental too ... of course I wouldn't stick around here nor at a job were they lie to you about the pay and train you not to cook the books and don't do pre and post trips .....bunch of arrogant over paid haughty wheel turners and condencending

I guess if I had a question it'd be - How do you tell a good company from a bad one ...

Recruiter said 1400 -$1800 a week! So I said ok and was willing to work hard and put up with anything to finish off my training , seating, upgrading and orientations and ride alongs and I did - Passed my backing tests and then got my first solo load and completed with no issues BUT - within all this training and tests - I had talked to many drivers about their pay and many showed me their pay stubs and it wasn't even CLOSE to that amount. Some drivers were even having issues receiving their pay! Truckers work long and hard hours and sacrifice a lot! AND that'd be fine with me but to lie about pay.......fudging the books, running the risk of running afoul of DOT cause your FM don't care, They put a lot on the shoulders of a driver - I love and Respect myself too much to allow a company to treat me bad if I am willing to give them my all ................. not sure what anyone else's experience was but this was mine. No sleep ,Poor diet ...... more sacrifices but lying about pay ? Is there even integrity in this field ? After my first assignment was complete and tendered my 'two weeks notice'. I'll look for a reputable company if they exist , not sure I want to eat crow for five years till I get in with a decent company but I am willing to work hard and dedicate myself to the lifestyle for the right company worthy of my commitment. I'm on the fence right now cause I love Trucking but my first experience was a let down ... Not sure if anyone else Self Respect and a strong work ethic , morals .. The first thing my trainer taught me is ' no pre inspects or post' and 'we all doctor the ELD's - frankly it's all BS, in that respect, Safe driving and getting it all done - I CAN DO THAT. Just the dirty side of trucking and the lying recruiters ...Back to the drawing board for me - I could be a great Trucker but not for this last company - not by a dang long shot

Flatbed OTR appeals to me.....so just sign up with a company that trains newbies? I got my CDL and did a stint with a company that wasn't all together truthful ... I checked with some companies and they want years of experience so any suggestions on companies and types of companies to get this experience from - Thanks in advance
