Do you Vape?

The reason it is mostly found in black market THC Vapes is that vitamin E is used to make the liquid appear thicker, thus more potent.

Do you Vape?

To clarify, all 29 samples sent to the CDC contained vitamin E Acetate. This was also discovered at the site of injury. This is mostly coming from black market THC Vapes, but I suppose there are others out there that contain the harmful Vitamin E.

A Thank You, And A Promise To Our Community

I think it is important to recognize that there indeed exists a duality (or more for that matter). If we take the time to get to know each other as unique individuals, as students, as leaders and potential leaders, we can learn to adjust teaching styles. That is my opinion. And all that begins with a search for the truth...trucking truth! Lol sorry, I couldn't help myself.

But back to the subject matter at hand, we each also bring our unique personalities to the table. I like Trucking Truth and am happy to be able to be a part of this community. As we keep moving forward, I am excited to see the past, present, and future fruits of our labors.

Team Driving and Exercise

Nutrition is definitely the largest part of keeping that weight in check! One of the more popular diets recently, Keto, has been helpful for a lot of people. This, paired with intermittent fasting can help! Essentially, Keto is no carbs high fat diet. The main reason it works is not because its some crazy magic diet, but rather it helps you feel satisfied longer which eventually reduces the overall calories you end up consuming. It might help with going longer stretches without eating on the road. Diet is basically Calories in vs Calories out. There are some differences depending on insulin response, but that is the gist of it.

I use the example of chinese food because it hits close to home. You could eat a huge meal of chow mein, and within an hour or two be starving! This is because of the insulin response the carbohydrates have triggered in your body and in turn, later sends signals to your brain telling you you are hungry.

I used to work with someone who played in the NFL. At 6"5' and a solid 350 pounds, this was one solid dude. When he started keto and was on it for a few weeks, he was telling me he had to force himself to eat breakfast because he would just stay full for so long.

In regard to exercises, full body cycles can be good. Practice with squats and deadlifts. Improvise shoulder presses, curls, etc. Please make sure to look up proper form and always start with less weight than you think you can do. It will definitely help prevent a lot of bonehead injuries. Also on getting sore, after a few weeks of consistent exercise, you will most likely find yourself not getting sore anymore. Or, maybe on your 30 just power walk around or walk for a solid 15-20 minutes and then do some body weight squats.

Positives today

Hey Moe (Moses), I totally skimmed over this message somehow, didnt mean to ignore ya, lol. Definitely been keeping you and your fam in my thoughts. Thank you for sharing your positivity as well. I wish I had a more philosophical or inspirational way to say this, but keep moving forward! If there is something that can be done, don't worry about it. If nothing can be done either, don't worry about it! Although it is always a challenge, we are fulfilled to duties and obligations that only we know.

You mention games, I used to play WoW back in the day. Currently gaming on Xbox, have a PS4 as well, but unfortunately don't get a lot of time to play, lol. What games do you play? Maybe we can link up.

2nd Chance

I have 4 preventables on dac record...clean mvr...psp..no points...1 year experience...fired from last job due to preventable accident

Oof, I'm not expert but this sounds like it's definitely going to be a challenge finding a job. At this point, keep on applying anywhere and everywhere if this is what you are truly set on. Or, might have to wait it out a couple years for those accidents.

Off to Prime 11/18...

Best wishes! Please keep us up to date through the CDL diaries! I will (hopefully) be with Prime once I meet a 30 day compliance period for sleep apnea. I was supposed to go on 11/11, however the sleep apnea set the clock back a bit.

Work boots or no work boots during otr training??

Sorry for the double post, here is some advice from Errol from a few years ago.

For your tootsies, a pair of ankle high hiking or work boots will do you just fine. Some people talk up steel toe, but in my first year, I never saw a requirement for them.

and more from Susan D.

Many companies don't require steel toe (or composite either) but if they do, they'll generally give them to you or reimburse some or all of the cost. What companies DON'T want to see at the terminal or in training are: slip ons, open toed, athletic shoes, etc. Most want to see you in sturdy leather boots with low heeled rubber bottoms.
