Western Express orientation Ashland Virginia
I have my trainer and she is picking me up tonight. Orientation consists of: many online tests, a road skills test, backing test, pretrip by an instructor. Lodging is at the red roof inn and includes a continental breakfast. It is clean and I feel, nicely managed. You get a catered lunch at the terminal mon - Friday and it is very good. Only once did we have Domino's Pizza and they offered the specialty pizzas which were delicious. We receive a subway gift card for dinner valued at $8. On the weekends you receive six such cards and I am keeping them for when I go on the road. Their is a shuttle that can take you to Walmart, etc. So far my experience has been positive and I am extremely grateful for the second chance opportunity.

A few more questions about Western Express:
1) how soon will they reimburse me if I choose to fly to orientation?
2) when will I receive my first check and then how often do they pay?
3) who do they primarily use for fuel and do they have accounts where I log in at the pump?
Thank you all for the continued help.

Staying out with Western express
I am starting with Western Express at the end of the month.. dry van division...my home is North Carolina but my grown kids live in Ohio. Will they let me go to Ohio to see them? I am willing and able to stay out on the road indefinitely...
