How Does An Owner/Operator Take A Vacation?

Ha! Old School I love donuts! Teddy Bear is a good one too! When I was a kid I watched the trucker shows on TV and listened to the trucking songs. Great childhood memories 😎

Look for advice

Hey Gabby, Welcome to the forum. I haven't started my trucking career just yet but I plan on going the company training way. It makes sense to me to get paid while training and know I have a job already. Do you know what type of freight that you want to haul, flatbed, dry van, reefer, intermode?

Bubba's 33 Restaurant

The Bubba's 33 Restaurant in Waco and Pasadena Texas is giving truck drivers a free ten inch pizza and non-alcoholic drink as appreciation for your service until April 3, 2020 in case any of yall are dropping off or picking up a load there. The Bubba's 33 in Waco is just down the street from the Flying J.

Just to say thanks!!!

I agree with Wesley S. Thank you guys and gals for keeping the supplies rolling to the stores! But also be safe and watch your six. I had to go to the aid of a Dollar General driver yesterday who had people trying to remove products off of his truck while trying to dock. He told me that on one of his deliveries in Houston a few days ago people were able to take some of his load while he was trying to unload.

Wiley Sanders Transportation

Well that's a bummer! Can you try one of the bigger companies that offer refresher for CDL holders? I know I've read on the trucking company reviews that some offer that. Well unless Wiley Sanders is a local company and you would rather do that than OTR. I'm still a greenhorn at all of this so really don't know more than that. Maybe if you ask in the general discussion section I'm sure one of the experienced guys or gals can give you some better advice that I.

Hey Mike B. I'm glad your training with Wiley Sanders wasn't cancelled by the COVID. I love reading the training diaries as I prepare to start my career in trucking in 5 years. Good luck and keep us posted during your journey. Tortuga
