Was it hard to find a company? Did you have to look for a long time? and was it a decent company?

I want to start a career in trucking but...I have three DUIs on my record, all more than 25 years ago. Other than that my driving record is pretty clean. Should I even bother to pursue this career? Will any company hire me?

50 in a 35 is a lot less of a problem than the 55 in a 30 as you stated in your first post. Which one is it? 50 in a 35 is only 15 over and will not be near the problem as a 25 over is.. In Iowa at least they can suspend your license for the 25 over.

50 MPH IN A 35 is what the ticket was for. I hope that makes a difference?

It would be to your advantage to wait until that ticket is 3 years old. That's going to open up a lot more opportunity for you.

Thanks for your time old school. I've been lurking here for about 2 months. I've learned a lot from everybody here and I will try to continue to learn more. I will continue to study for my CDL permit. I'm not a bad guy but then again I'm No Angel either. I'll see what happens in the next little while.

Yes, I am interested in starting in trucking. I have no experience. The ticket is 2 and a half years old. 12-30-2017 01-17-2018 CONV: (313)SPEEDING ( 50 MPH IN A 35) 2 POINTS

I have a speeding ticket for doing 55 in a 30mph zone. No excuse, (speed trap). I was cited for speeding not reckless driving. I did not have to go to court. I paid a fine. it appears on my record as 55 in a 30 speeding, and they took two (2) points. Is this considered reckless driving?
