Husband had accident

My husband took a job with Werner in April right out of driving school. Today he got into an accident. He hit his brakes and the truck didn’t stop. He collided with an SUV. (Which was the other persons rental car.) Thankfully no one was hurt. The car was totaled though He wasn’t cited at the scene. & they towed the truck back to the terminal. He met with the insurance adjuster and he was supposed to meet with the safety coordinator. They told him safety was busy and put him in a hotel for the night and said he had to meet with safety tomorrow. Should I still expect for him to be fired for this accident? Would they put him in a hotel for the night to meet with safety just to terminate him? I’m mentally a mess and so new to this I don’t know what to even think. Thank you.
