Driving at night

That's why I asked..with rain its hard to see at night for some people... I agree with Errol on getting your eyes checked because rain is not your only enemy at night ie snow and ice...

Backing fun, how would you go about getting a truck down my drive?

You will most likely have to move the mailbox and depending on which side you move it I wouldnt turn on that side... I would rather make a left turn so I'd put the mailbox on the other side

My Noobie First Day as an Official WST Driver

Lol scott.. I had directions in my messages but what I didn't realize until too late was my messages can't be accessed while moving if I'm solo in a truck and gps was trying to route me through residential areas. So I had to find a place to pull over then access directions that weren't exactly accurate. It's one of those.. now I know situations that can be prevented. Just my newby first run.

Yeah write those directions down before you leave and know your route before you leave.... You handle it really good and congrats on a successful mission lol

No company will hire a R.S.O.

double-quotes-start.png

Especially if you're looking for an entry-level company to get trained and obtain your CDL. One of the reasons being, it is unlikely you will be able to obtain a HazMat Endorsement and TWIC card - which most companies require.

double-quotes-end.png

Pardon my ignorance, but is this a new policy? Back around 2005, I worked for a Class B company, and all we did was Hazmat(liquid chlorine, muriatic acid, etc). We had a RSO who worked for us, and I know for a fact that he had a Hazmat because I was training with him when we got stopped at a weigh station. I don't know about the policies for TWIC cards, but unless some new policy has been implemented, a Hazmat might still be possible. Like you said though, most companies require both, so I'm not sure how that would play out.

Can't have a felony to get hazmat...
