Halvor Lines in Rosemont,MN trains newly licensed drivers

I just studied it on here and passed with flying colors

I was more nervous about he background check,to be honest

If you need to walk on top of the load without a safety harness,be extremely careful where you step while spreading the tarps

I worked for Halvor from October 2018 until this past July.

Great company to work for, never had any issues.

They have a good maintenance program and any mechanical issues are repaired quickly.

I was flatbed, so I can't comment on dry van or reefer mileages or their dispatch.

Only reason I left was due to a family member's medical issue and was asked to take over driving their truck (O/O).

When the medical issue is resolved, I'll be going back to Halvor

Anyone else using TransFlo ELD at their company?

We have it at our company and a lot of us are having issues with it being very slow when trying to anotize and verify our daily logs.

Also this morning, it logged me and my trainer out while I was driving.

Just wondering if anyone else is having issues with it.

Expensive...unless you know someone that has the tool.It's $300+

What happens when they find you driving while wearing a shirt like this?

They escourt you to the nearest bowling alley.

Even more concerning that 11% (averaged) don't know what their income is.

Maybe they started mid-year...or they're going with the "ignorance is bliss" and "hope for the best" business model

When I was learning for my airbrake test,I had a hard time remembering the steps,and what to say.At my sister's suggestion.I wrote it down from memory and checked it.I corrected my mistakes,then wrote it down a few more times during the week and I was able to pass the test on my first try.

This method may or may not work for you,but it helped me tremendously.
