Accidents vs Incidents: Preventable/Non-Preventable, Reportable/Non-reportable
Without going into a long history here, I just want to get to the meat of the question I have here. Is it possible to have an accident on your DAC record listed as "preventable" and yet never received a citation from the police that investigated the accident? I know this is generic, and you will probably want to know more information. But this is the bottom line up front, as we used to say in the military. I can gladly give you more information if needed.

Melton has launched into an aggressive recruiting campaign. If you have a clean record and can drive, whether verifiable experience or a school diploma, Melton wants you! Of course they are an equal opportunity employer as well!
Does anyone know if Melton allows you to bring your human with you? What is their "human policy"?
I don't care what you say, that's funny!!!

Parking a Truck In The Northeast
Brett, that sounds like a great idea. I was thinking how *you* were going to gather all that data and how impossibly long that would take. Instead of you doing it, you will have your "army' of drivers submitting the data. It would be a constant work in progress and finished in no time! I like the verified/unverified aspect of it. I think you could also make an obsolete feature in case a verified spot becomes unusable after verification. I'm all for this and you can count me in.

I think you missed Errol's reply above where he posted that the driver paid for other people's meals also.
I think I did.

This was a "reely" big load. It was as tall as the cab. Plastic pipe going to Canada, eh. Twelve chains and binders in 97-degree sunshine. Fun!

Flatbedders will often find they have to pull/back into a building to load/unload. Most of the time it is easy, but there are challenging buildings out there waiting for you. This particular factory was easy. I picked up some shelving for a Walmart Distribution Center.
Yes. I had to tarp it outside.

Well, we were really busy today staging box culverts for delivery next week. 3 of us shuttled these within 5 miles of the drop site.
Learned something new today too... How to get the trailer tires back on the ground. Nope, not kidding. Was traveling south on I15 from Helena to Butte and on the first corner I look into the right hand mirror and the trailer tires were 6" off the ground. Talk about a pucker moment. Well I just steered into the left lane to straighten the truck and trailer and then hit the brakes to slow down. Goofy thing is, I was only going about 55-60 mph but on the next load I noticed that there was no banking to the corner and it actually banked left a little.
That's almost as scary as when the DOT officer asks to see your logbook.

Awesome but did he eat $89 worth of food?
This is what shocked me. What *did* he eat for that much. I know it said drinks were included, but what is a truck driver drinking that would not get him in trouble?? Perhaps he just paid for others' drinks and didn't consume adult beverages himself?

In that case, I'm toast. Truck driving was fun while it lasted.
