PAM reviews out there. Is it that bad?
Yes PAM uses ezpass/prepass. Their CSA score is super low so save time getting green lighted. Great support system...nonl issues with fuel cards, advances...etc. Use my phone to scan bills with transflo app. But yes....barely making ends meet. Operations needs some good leadership. A lot of 'left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing". Remember, they're a training company. I did not go through their school so I don't have a contract with them, nor did I have to team up for 6 months. Good company for new drivers. Suckin it up to get the otr exp. Everyone has to pay their dues. Just don't plan on making a lot. Just now getting 1200-1300 mi. loads. They now know I keep the door shut and roll. For u vets...you get 918.00/mo or so va bennies...deceases after 6 months but helps. Remember y'all...grass is always greener....and there are only two 100% awesome jobs....the one you're leaving and the one you're going to. Later!

Hey y'all!! Read all pages of this and enjoyed it. I'm rounding the three month mark with "A" company and really looking at MTL. I've known my calling is flatbed and not van. I like the small company atmosphere as well. I live near Florence, SC and was hoping someone of y'all that drive for em can tell me a few things.. 1. What would my training be like since I have otr exp. But no flatbed? 2. What the dedicated and/or reg. Map look like for the SE? I wish their site was more informative but TT will always come through. Thanks again and in advance. Be safe out there!

No problem at all! I'm on day 3 of DDP. Things are going well. Getting good practice on the range. Where did you meet up with your mentor? Hopefully I know Friday or this weekend. No issues with anyone here....know I made the right choice. Great place to start out, especially for vets. Talk to ya later. Good luck, safe travels.

Alibi....get on ebenefits website, register for premium account, (should already be registered if on or was on AD) and get all of your "statuses". I.e. which GI bill you qualify for, entitlement amounts, etc., service period letters and such. I just did a screen shot of all the info pages and made a PPT with them all and saved it on my phone. Also have my dd214s on PDF on my phone. Good luck to all. Thx for your service to this great country!

Used VA to pay for school while still active (19 days). Just retired after 22 years. Starting with PAM soon in OJT GI Bill program. Thanks to all who posted companies that do OJT for Vets. If your a Vet and looking.....check where the company headquarters is.....that decides what bah rate you will receive. Also expect 100% if applicable for 6 mos. and 80% for the rest of the year (if on a year long program). Some companies do it for 1.5 yrs or even 2 years. Do your homework and make sure you are eligible and/or what you are eligible for. Good luck to all...welcome home and thanks your service.

Thinking about starting my CDL training with PAM transport
Great info Dutch. Thanks. I'm currently processing my app with PAM. If I can handle 22 years in the Army, this will be no big deal. I've researched too many companies and just nailed it to one ( VA OJT is offered too). This post was last year, but if you're still with PAM let me know. Take er easy.
