Yes, I completed driving testing today and will start orientation tomorrow. The school is good, but in my opinion, there needs to be more practice time for driving (especially backing) before the test.
More backing time seems to be a common request theme across all training schools, lol.
So is there access to laundry? A store nearby for snacks etc?

Ride Along On The Road With Old School
Now that I've finally figured out how to do pics here, here's my little backpacking canister stove I got from Amazon for around $5. I'm not sure how much the fuel is; my hiker buddy gave it to me. The lamp is battery powered and came from the Dollar Tree.

I left out that you can buy "stuff" that helps with the smell. I want to say it's peat or something....I know Cabelas has a composting toilet for around $100 that a lot of "preppers" and "tiny house" owners get. I looked it up once but I can't remember what the "stuff" is...
The "stuff" is available at most RV stores and some camping (Cabela's and more) places. In an RV, following the Call of Nature on the inside can be an adventure for all the passengers!
I guess it's a good thing I'm not overly shy since I'll probably be team driving for at least 10 months at CRST!! Note to self: pack Glade

I'm looking at CRST in Iowa. It doesn't have the greatest reviews, but not many company sponsored training programs do. With the tools here, I've weighed the pros and cons and am mentally preparing myself.
Regarding reviews, here's my thoughts: I completely disregard any that are full of grammatical errors and/or foul language. In my opinion, this indicates the reviewer probably lack several skills needed to make the cut. Overly positive reviews may have been made by a paid company rep trying to boost reviews. I think the gang here has some pretty darn good advice. So prepare for the worst (do your homework!) And hope for the best :)
Also...I would love to have a friend to meet up with at training (it'll be a few weeks before I go, if I pass the physical), so if CRST sounds like it might work for you, let me know! Lckygrl74@gmail.com

Think I can fit this in the cab?? Lol
Did you "design" this??
I think you did say you were a do-it-yourself kind of girl!
(Practical suggestion: Put the blue pipe insulation under the baggie. You need to make a lid, unless you think your poop don't stink!)
HA! No, I didn't design this, though if I'd used my noodle (pun intended!), I probably could have :) I AM a bit of a DIYer but I Google most solutions to my problems :)
I don't have a pic near the top of my archives to share, but I have also used a 5 gallon bucket with lid and a plunger (bought new, never touched toilet water) as a washing machine (I cut holes in both the plunger for water to flow through, and the bucket lid for the plunger handle with an Xacto knife). Just don't overfill the bucket with clothes and go easy on the soap or rinsing is a *****!!!
