Schneider or YRC

Thanks guys. There are plenty of LTL's here. I really think i should do Schneider for their training and to learn the ropes. Then maybe go to an ltl down the road. With all the options Schneider has in my area home time doesn't seem to be an issue

Schneider or YRC

I have been talking to both and was wondering if anyone had any opinions on either. Schneider is possibly a dedicated Walmart run out of Wintersville OH. YRC is Road Driver out of Akron OH. Thanks and stay safe out there.

Starting at TDDS in Lake Milton Ohio tomorrow

First two weeks are finished. So far I'm averaging a 96% at the top of the class. We got to go out one day and do coupling and uncoupling and work on the pre-trip. Now that I have my permit the pre-trip is my main focus. The instructor has been great so far. Get recruiters in almost everyday, which gets annoying at times but its part of it. Really enjoying it so far.

Stay safe out there..

Information on ABF Freight, YRC Freight and UPS Frieght Road Driver Jobs

I am also interested in this. I am still in school but YRC has been in contact with me. I have family that work for Con-way LTL and they're happy with them. Good luck and stay safe.

Passed the combination endorsement today. Got my permit with all the endorsements now. Just got to get the DOT health card and background check for Hazmat.

Good ;luck on your CDL test! If you have been using the High Road system, you'll ace it.

And pre-hires go a long way to settle your future!

This training program is fantastic. It's easy to tell that I am far more advanced then the rest of the class by using it. I passed all my endorsements but combination. It had a few questions that were worded kinda weird that threw me off. I am going today to take that test again. I was worried about HazMat and passed that perfectly...lol...

Made it through the first week. Not much to talk about. Filling out paperwork mostly. Started learning about doing the pre-trip. ( alot of stuff to memorize). Also started on general knowledge. Usually at least one recruiter in everyday. Going to take my tests for CDL permit and endorsements today. Good luck and stay safe out there

Starting at TDDS in Lake Milton Ohio tomorrow

I'm starting my journey into trucking tomorrow at TDDS. I have been a machinist for the past 20yrs and recently got laid off. I'm sure I could have gotten another job in the industry but I've never been truly happy doing it. I wanted to get into trucking before that but being young and dumb I ended up getting myself a DUI, so that took this option away. I've gotten over a half dozen pre-hires so far and am really excited to get started. Schneider is at the top of my list right now because of the variety of options they have in my area (NE Ohio). If anyone has any thoughts on TDDS or Schneider I'd love to hear them. Safe travels all...
