Sta-rat?

Do you really have an extra $150 you don't need? It does a bit more than simply pull the handle, but in my opinion I'd spend the money on something else.

Most trailer tandems mind very well. Others might need some hammer-love, but not often enough for the sta-rat.

Makes sense to me Errol you make a very good point...was just curious about it......over heard people talking about it . Thanks for the info Sir.

Does anyone know anything about a sta-rat? Is it worth getting one? It's for pulling your tandem release handle. confused.gif

SORRY I forgot to mention starting pay is .38 CPM After you are hired. While with the mentor you get $9.25 an hour driving.

Also by just sitting in the passenger seat (on duty not driving) you get $7.25 or so. That'll get you around $500 per week, gross.

BTW there's a third chance on testing that they explained to my class. #1, #2 as you described. Then you can pay $750 and try again. The $750 simply goes toward your tuition, it's not an extra charge.

You are Sir.......sorry been tired forgot that part

Day 1) Arrive at Swift no later than 5:30 a.m. Starting with 18 people. At 6 a.m. go into the class room meet the instructors, Discuss what is expected of you. Pee test time! If you can't pass DON'T SHOW UP!!!! While waiting your turn to pee they make copies of your DOT physical long and short form, Driver license and Learners permit(NOTE: Has to be the hard plastic one paper will get you sent home) Next is your contract they go over it with the class word for word line by line. Now you fill out more paper work and get assigned a little homework.

Day 2) Day starts with learning about logging TAKE NOTES! But don't stress the instructors are AWESOME! They tell you if not sure ask that's what they are there for. So now time to learn how to fill out paper loggs, study notes taken earlier in the day. Now time for 3 tests.....if you fail one you are on academic probation....if you fail 2 you go home. More studying, more questions and answers.

Day 3) More on logging and intro to map reading, TAKE NOTES!! Class discussion on map reading, more notes.......2 more tests again if you failed one on day 2 fail one today you go home! If you pay attention to the instructors and take notes you will be fine. Turn In Homework instructor grades tests and homework.......if he says your good you go to the lounge, if not you either stay for a pep talk or you go home. Started with 18... Now only 11 remain.

Well that's all for now. Will update as days go on.

Well today was pee test loan contract and making sure all paper work was in order......no paper copies must be actual hard card learners......and 1person ruined there dac........jumped ship after they were told can't leave until pee test was done.....called a cab and left.......now has a refusal due to this........homework time! More to come.

double-quotes-end.png

Congrats.

Don't think they "ruined their DAC". Since y'all are at the "pre-employment phase" - shouldn't count as a refusal (at least from where a DAC is concerned).

They might report ANYWAY - but technically, should not.

Another example of stupidity. You GOTTA KNOW yer gonna be drug tested FIRST THING. WHY SHOW UP AT ALL - if you know you're going to FAIL?

Rick

They told us if you leave the room before your pee test it counts as a refusal/failure of said test and it would go on your dac. They used the words "Ruin" your career
