Do these guys that run for TTS/Voyager really make any money as owner operators in NJ? I see ALOT of these drivers all time running up and down the pike. Trash is definitely consistent in trucking, seems like could be a good gig if your willing to deal with landfill bull****. I did it back in the day starting out running walking floors. Really wasn’t that bad if it was dry and you REALLY took your time and crawled around the landfill to avoid problems. Wondering if anyone has any info on pay as a owner operator, what are you bringing in weekly and how many turns are you doing per day hauling these trash wagons out of jersey? I currently lease on with a company doing regional flatbed lanes, but have to sleep out time to time. Would really like to find the impossible where I’m home every night.

If I were to go with CRE for my paid apprenticeship where would I be taking the actual road test to obtain my CDL? I am from New Jersey, and I have been reading reviews people saying they take you back to your home state to take the road test. Is this true, I was under the impression that I would take it in the state where I would be training. Anyone have any info on this.. Thanks in advanced

I have my learners permit class A in New Jersey, and am thinking about attending swift academy in VA.. Now would I have to retake my written test for my permit in order to take my road test at the school? Or can my permit transfer over?
