You would take the test with CRE at the school, providing they have instructors at the school you attend who are certified with the DMV. Then they would route you to your home state to obtain the hard copy. This must be done within 30 days, I believe, or you will have to test again. I'm not familiar with other states' policies on this, but we trained at SLC and live in northern Nevada.

If I were to go with CRE for my paid apprenticeship where would I be taking the actual road test to obtain my CDL? I am from New Jersey, and I have been reading reviews people saying they take you back to your home state to take the road test. Is this true, I was under the impression that I would take it in the state where I would be training. Anyone have any info on this.. Thanks in advanced
