Thank you :) means alot to me to see you say that.
Sadly it's in times of great logistics needs surrounding a natural disasters that drivers are treated with more respect overall.
Yes in times like this, for FEMA loads, HOS do not apply and critical loads of water and food get priority.
I'm not doing FEMA loads this time as it's not a place for trainees,, but I truly love driving each and every day out there and enjoy training new drivers for my company as well.
Stay safe and be careful. Keep stocked on supplies for yourself and God bless you for being willing to help out in this major way.
I'm very proud of you.

One of the things i love about trucking
So as title says, one of the things I love about trucking is that I can finally help disaster areas like Houston TX in recovering and rebuilding, I may not be able to send money or get on a boat and help people to safety, (as much as I would love to do that) I can help in my own way, by trucking in freight and emergency supplies, I love this lifestyle so much because of that, first thing I did after my 34 reset on the 28th was tell my dispatcher I wanted to help, she set me up with a dedicated account here in Houston as a temp so I could help, I pushed my home time back and drove with haste down to Huston from Dallas. Well as much haste as the speed limit and HoS would allow anyway, I'd like to thank everyone here at TT for giving me the Information I needed to pass my cdl tests and be able to do this

Why all the hate...?
I may not have the experience many many others do, but I will say for the starter company that I work for, I found my forever home, I love this company, they've treated me very well and I hope I'm doing the same for them, people give me hell for working here at Werner, they call me Wiener and always have that look on their face oh look here's a new guy as I do my stuff, g.o.a.l and such, but inignore them, I absolutely love my job and what I do. I see a sunset in one state and a sunrise in another or vice versa, I get paid to see the country and have fun doing it, I love to drive and this job let's me get paid for what I enjoy doing, at the end of the day I just ignore the negativity and keep on truckin, (get it? Keep on truckin?.. No? Maybe? I'll see myself out.)
