Alright so I got in to Swift as Gary the recruiter I am working with said... but yet another question for Brett, Old School, Errol V. and other Moderators!

But yes victor, notify him immediately. If you still get the confirmation that you are good to go, seize that opportunity

Rick id suggest the time line be atleast 5 years old. Although I heard there are companies that do a 10 year search?

I had a bad 2013, 4 improper equipments, one speeding ticket. And two other violations.

2014 had a improper equipment. All moving violations in Massachusetts ( I didn't know how to fight tickets or that I could)

Werner denied me and said I need atleast 6 months experience. I don't blame them. Soon I'll be released from that terrible time, one year and x amount of months to go !

Even tho you've stayed out of ticket/accident trouble since 2014 - that's a lot of stuff you racked up in a short amount of time.

That 15+ is going to be the most difficult to overcome.

I hit a pedestrian in a POV in '15. No citation, long form accident report puts the j-walker at fault - and I have a "no liability letter" from my insurance company.

I would get a FIRM COMMITMENT for an orientation date - based on your past driving record. You may find that companies might be leery of it - until they are more than 3 years old.

Looks like you had a rough 2014, driving-wise.

Recent personal vehicle rear end accident. No one will give me a chance...

I am attending NETTTS(New England Tractor Trailer Training School) in Somers, CT

I graduated from NETTTS- Pawtucket, practically top of my class and a perfect one and done.

I wonder if you can come to my school to see if the career placement personnel can help you out or are you stuck to the Somers location

Upcoming new driver

Note: I understand how uncertain the construction field is. They are hiring CDL drivers who also do laborer work.

I also understand how much labor I'll be doing with Coca Cola and city driving around Boston area. It's the price I have to pay that my wife will only accept and I refuse to lie to her ( saying my only option is otr and no local will give me a chance )

I believe I can get into Sysco, Gordon food service, and Reinhart. Le Wife is waiting for me to put in those applications 😂

Upcoming new driver

Uplate. Was supposed to start orientation with Werner on the 13th. Made that date a month prior. Well around a week before, I get a call and they pulled my app and date. I called to figure out why and the lady said I need 6 months experience. ( I'm assuming because of my driver record which isn't bad, just full of equipment violations in 2013, one speeding ticket in 2013).No biggie won't let that affect me or the reviews I have of the company.

Prime has been calling me

USX has been calling me

TMC, who denied me, reopened my app and is now calling me ( even got a pre hire text from the recruiter..?)

Roehl called me but they waiting for my call

Coca Cola to which I applied for called me, did an interview. I believe it went well ( it was around the time tractor man had his interview )

There's a construction company 5-10 minutes from my house to which I'm also going to apply for.

My mind is set on doing my time on the road, wife fully supports it. However Le wife wants me to exhaust all local options first. EVEN if I went local now to get settled, she would still 100% support me going otr after.

Will keep updating. May give prime a call in the next few days

Frustrations with Werner Enterprises, I'm finished with them

At first I thought you was all professional. But definetly behave different over at truckersreport.

No need to mention this site over there, pretty much signifying that these drivers here don't know what they are talking about, especially when you said you agreed with all that was said here. Why flip the script over on truckersreport?

Personally I would've made the thread there like you did, but NOT mention this site. I'd soak in all the advice I can get from both ends and make my decision, because ultimately it would be my decision. ( I'd do the same here. Make a post there and NOT mention what was said over here )

I talked to a TMC driver and he says this while I talked to a ATS driver and he says another... I need some wisdome and advice!

The three I focused on Yes. Werner , us Xpress and Roehl.

I rear ended someone , that unlicensed driver did a dumb thing. I went into the back of him. No injuries. But because he was unlicensed, I was at fault according to my insurance..

Despite that, they still said yes to me. Roehl was waiting on my police report to continue it, but the recruiter stopped talking to me maybe a month back, I just recieved Roehl phone call the other day saying they are following up on " our " conversation from last week... I'm no wizard but last week and a month,, that's pretty big difference 😜

Your experience may be different, wish you luck.

I tried to apply for tmc, my 2013 wasn't so good. One speeding ticket 60 in a 45 ( and I was the slowest one with a million cars buzzing past me so I thought atleast let me get a decent mph going. Fail)

Got a few improper equipment ( windshield, etc ) and they declined my app. License wasn't never suspended .

But don't let me tear it down, wish you luck!
