How long would it usually take for Swift to get back to me?

I applied to Swifts CDL training program about a week ago and I haven't heard anything from them yet and when I try calling the recruiter I don't get an answer. Does it usually take a while to get into one of these programs? If anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

Is Roehl trucking companies school hard to get into?

I'm looking to get into trucking once I turn 21 in 5 months but I don't have money for a regular trucking school. I've been researching and I like Roehls company trucking school however, I don't have a high school diploma and my work history isn't that great. Would I have any trouble getting into this program? Thanks.

How exactly hard is it to get a CDL A and become a truck driver?

I'm going to be starting CDL school soon and I just wanted to get an idea of what to expect at school. How was it for you guys at CDL school and how many times did it take you to pass the road test? I feel like I'm asking a lot of questions on here but I'm just trying to get as much information as I can. Thanks guys.

Synthroid you should be fine. Get the prescribing doctor to write a note.

Zoloft may present an issue.

Which company are you going to?

In general - Zoloft is not listed as a "banned substance" - and should be acceptable with a Doctors letter. Many companies do have drugs they just don't want their drivers on.

One user here, actually called the clinic the company used, and asked if a particular drug was OK. They said it wasn't - and he saved himself a trip to orientation and getting sent home for 30 days to get clear of the drug (can't recall what it was).

Rick

I'm interested in a lot of companies but the top 3 that I like are wadhams enterprises cause they are located just 70 miles from where I live, and gypsum express and Schneider.

I've been taking Zoloft for a few years now for mild anxiety and I take synthroid for hypothyroidism. Will I be able to get my CDL still? Thanks.

Does Schneider let their drivers take the truck home?

Chris; generally yes. However, make sure to check with your recruiter. If you're slip-seating (not always in the same truck) this may not apply.

OTR shouldn't be a problem taking your truck home.

Ok thank you I appreciate the insight.

Where do you live and if there is a truckstop nearby I would imagine you would park at the truckstop. Other possibility is delivering to a customer nearby then bobtailing home. If anything call a recruiter and ask.

I live in upstate NY and I live in the country so I would be able to park the truck right next to my house. And thanks for the answer I appreciate it.

Does Schneider let their drivers take the truck home?

I'm interested in becoming a driver at Schneider but the closest terminal to me is 308 miles. If I do become a driver with Schneider would they allow me to take the truck home with me? Thanks.

How do you feel about driver facing cameras?

I'm going to be going to CDL school to become a professional truck driver and my first choice of trucking companies to get on with after school has driver facing cameras. To me, that would feel like an invasion of privacy. How should I deal with that? Should I not consider this company and go to a company that doesn't have driver facing cameras? Thank you.
