My Maverick Transportation Diary

I have that app! Lol. I also downloaded the Arkansas CDL Manual and have been studying it. (I like to be prepared). Between the High Road, CDL Prep, and DMV Genie, I have seen a bunch of questions multiple times. I appreciate you getting back to me. Stay safe out there!

Just those "core" tests.

There is an app called "CDL Prep" if you know those questions on there you will do very well. Good chance you will see many of those questions again (word for word) ;)

Hey Jeremy, hope training is going well! You’ll have to let us know when you graduate. Anyway, I do have a question about the CDL school part. Do they do any endorsements or is it just what I call the core (general knowledge, air brakes and combination vehicles)?

Waiting list for Maverick’s CDL Sponsorship

Thanks Splitter! I have it downloaded and printed off. As soon as I finish the High Road CDL course I am gonna hit it hard. Thanks again for the tip!!

Thanks everyone! Jeremy, I can’t wait!!! Nervous as crap, but so excited at the same time!!

Don’t forget the Pre-Trip pdf that Daniel B put together. If you have most of that memorized, you’ll ace the CDL for sure.

It helped me recognize parts of the CLP that I didn’t know since I had never been in a truck until company paid training started.

Waiting list for Maverick’s CDL Sponsorship

Hey everyone, my application has been approved and I am on the waiting list for Maverick’s CDL sponsorship program. They say it can be 1-2 mobths wait. I figure I have waited this long to do what I have always wanted, I can wait a little longer. I have been doing the High Road CDL Training Program and have completed the General knowledge and Air brakes portions and working on Combination vehicles now. I’m pretty excited, and scared to death at the same time.

Thanks! I appreciate it. Be safe out there!

Good deal! If I can answer any questions just let me know.

Once I get out on the trainers truck I will post a bit more often. Just enjoying some hometime for now. Got my wifes honey-do list knocked out, so I am ready to get out there.

Hoping to hear from him soon. I know he is on the regional midwest account, so home most weekends. I am guessing I will meet up with him this weekend to head out Sunday or Monday.

That’s awesome! I got the call 30 minutes ago that my application was approved and I have a spot On the waiting list! I’m really excited!

Currently at home for some hometime before going out with a trainer. We do get paid for the week at the 600 a week training pay. They will reimburse me the cost of a greyhound ticket for the drive home, and again to drive to my trainer.

My trainer should contact me by Thursday to plan everything out. I will be out with him for a minimum of 21 days. Once we both feel I am ready to go out on my own I will graduate the training program, get my truck, and hit the road.

I have enjoyed everything so far. I have learned a ton, and still have a ton to learn.

Just a quick update, you all be safe out there!
