I really like the new rule.
Today I was more than eight hours ahead of schedule for a 530 mile run to Fostoria OH. After driving for 275 miles or so I decided to stop for three hours(ended up being closer to four), clicked the 'pair sleeper berth' on the Qualcomm and didn't loose any time off of my 14 hour clock. I then continued my run still arriving 4 hours ahead of schedule.
Comes in handy as well when stuck at a shipper or receiver.
Dang!! Didn't KNOW the QC had that feature added; how SWEET, eh?
My man runs a QC, but .. in a daycab; doubt we have that button. AWESOME they've integrated that, tbh.. eliminates some confusion, and affords you, the driver, some MUCH needed SLEEP " AS YOU NEED IT!!! " COOL~!!

Yes! It was a nice nap. Plus it helped me avoid sitting in the same spot for 18 hours. Now I've only been here for 12 hours hoping to get docked soon....

Well I'm not a truck driver yet but with all the card abuse calls I work i don't recommend using a check card or debit card that draws the money out of your bank account.
If someone gets your card info they can draw your money out very quickly and banks can take a long time to do their fraud investigation and not reimburse your money for a couple weeks.
It's much safer using a credit card since the money isn't coming straight out of your checking or savings accounts.
Yes, I agree with this. Much safer to use a credit card than a debit card. Just pay it off monthly or even weekly and you won't have to pay any interest.

Only a court of law can decide if an employment contract has been breached.
With that said, an employment contract for one year must be based on an annual salary.
I would love to see one of these contracts. They sound more like a credit card agreement than an employment contract.

They can collect on it if they choose. Contracts are binding.
True, but only a court can decide if an employment contract has been breached.

Biden suspends new oil and gas drilling permits on federal land
Didn't obama vow to bankrupt the cola industry?
Off topic.
It's not off topic. Obama was anti fossil fuel.
Cola is a fossil fuel? Oh you meant coke.

Didn't obama say the his plan of cap and trade would make electricity rates sky rocket?
Obama said a lot of things that either weren't true or half-truth double talk. Just like Trump. All politicians do.
I consider just the issues not who introduced them.
Like the topic in the title of this thread. The reality is the suspension of new permits for drilling on Federal land will have little to no impact because the oil companies have permits stockpiled that they haven't used and are still valid

Don't trucks get stuck at the border trying to get into the USA? Pipeline flow doesn't get stymied at the border.
Yup, because no humans would be involved at the border. The pipeline would be an automated process.

Don't trucks have to go through red tape and bureaucracy at the border before crossing into the USA? Doesn't that create a chokehold and stymie the flow of oil? With a pipeline, would the flow of oil into the USA be greater, and can't the trucks and trains pick it up for transport where the pipline ends in the USA? Wouldn't the total movement of oil on trucks and trains be greater than trying to move it in by trucks only?
The issue is jobs. The pipeline will reduce the number of jobs that are required to bring the oil into the US.
Simple as that.

Fired from CR England for two accidents
Did you have a contract with England? If not almost impossible to be wrongly terminated as you would have been an 'at-will' employee.
Being 'at-will' means a company can fire you at any time, for any reason, or even no reason at all.
