I've been having an issue where my truck will not go the governed speed of 62 MPH for a couple months. The other day, in southern Alabama, my truck's heater in the front of the cab went out.

I can deal with the speed thing, but no heat, this time of year, would keep me in the I-10 corridor, and cause problems even that far south in some places.

So, with 10 hours left on my 70, I decide to do a 34 in Houston and put the truck in for service.

The heater apparently needs a couple actuators.

They also THINK they found the speed issue. Something is BADLY wrong with the ABS system. Badly as in, the service center can't even connect to the ABS computer to talk to it. Badly, as in, the ABS system computer never gives any ABS error.

I can't understand why an ABS computer might interfere with truck speed, especially since the thing is doing a good job pretending to be a brick.

We shall see.
