James,
You mentioned before that they need others to do the same route. It's way too early for me to be looking for a job, but I live in Acampo, CA and I love the donner pass area. I'd be excited every day to drive that in the snow.
Is the route strictly from reno to Modesto to Reno? IE, can it be Modesto to Reno to Modesto? I'm jealous, btw. How many hours does it take you in the snow and ice versus when it's clear?

My job search for paid CDL training has begun
Okay... fair enough;
so I think how CFI treated you Big Scott; is a reflection on you, more about your professionalism and performance.
Although I try not to deviate from objectivity, your experience at CFI is no different than my 8+ years at Swift, or Rainy’s run at Prime... etc.
Does Swift pay compete with some of the other better paying companies? Because it doesn't appear to from what I can tell? I still might choose them to start out with just because their training sounds good?

Do People Still Cheat Logs Now That They're Electronic?
Anne,
I read 3 different articles about that accident, and none of them mention him cheating logs?

No.
That's good. I didn't want to have to cheat logs.

I was reading Brett's book, and he makes it sound like successful truck drivers cheat their logs. Is that still the case now that logs are electronic. If so, how does one cheat?
Thanks.

Anne,
Nice find. Apparently, I've asked a question that has already been asked and answered. I suppose a lot of what goes on in this forum is redundant.

So I've been wanting to read Old School's book whenever he gets it done. That said, I haven't read Brett's book, and I'm wondering how it has aged? Is it worth reading?
Also, what other truck driving books do people recommend?
Thanks.

Thanks Wile E. I'm sort of embarrassed I missed that. It's good news, however, they're on the list!

Is the school on the FMCSA's Training Provider Registry List? If they are not prior to Feb 7, 2022, you cannot take the CDL A skills test for your license.
Where do you find this list? I googled, and I see where to register on it, but I don't see the list itself. I'm curious if the school I wanted to go with is on it.

The verdict is in……. 110 years concurrent life sentences
https://www.change.org/p/jared-polis-grant-clemency-or-gove-commutation-with-time-served-to-rogel-lazaro-aguilera-mederos
That is the petition to grant him clemency or commutation. I already signed it a few days ago. it's already over 4 million signatures. Depending on the article, he was speeding before he lost his brakes. If he was speeding, the sentence makes a little more sense to me. Anyway, it's a waste of tax payer dollars to keep him in prison for the rest of his life in my opinion. Eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.
