New cdl federal requirement

The scores are "up" where? Just because they are recorded online does not mean they are still valid. You need to contact your DMV

Where you check to see if you passed or not, it doesn’t say anything about 30 days. Not even on the dmv site it says you have 30 days, it just says you have to wait at least 7 days to apply after you passed.

New cdl federal requirement

I was working on getting my physical first.

It took you FOUR MONTHS to get a DOT physical? I thought Concentra's wait times were terrible but you've got them beat.

I have a medical condition so I wasn’t able to see my doctor for a while to get it

New cdl federal requirement

I had passed my road test in December but haven’t got a chance to a apply for the actual cd. Will I have to do the new requirement even though I passed my road test before February?

You need to look at your paperwork. As far as I know, the exam scores are only good for 30 days. So because you did not upgrade the CDL within that time, you actually may have to do the exam again. However, if you do need to take the exam again. Whether or not you are covered under the new law would be if you got your permit before Feb 8th and if the permit is still valid.

If your permit is no longer valid, you need to get the permit again, be compliant with the new law and retest on the road

Why on earth would you not get your CDL right away?

Because I was trying to do my physical first. My test results are still up, i don’t see anything saying it’s only valid for 30 days.

New federal requirement for entry level cdl drivers

I recently just my cdl road test in December but I haven’t got my physical yet. Will I have to do this new federal requirement or am I exempt since I basically got my cdl already?

Autonomous truck driving taking over?

I’m starting to feel like recently getting my cdl is a waste because self driving trucks are going to take over in the next ten years. What do you think of this new technology?

Which field of truck driving is better?

For example, is it better to drive commercially for companies like UPS, FEDEX or family owned businesses like Wel, Schneider etc.

Wel company orientation and training

Thank you

I would like to know if they train you on automatic or manual transmission trucks. I got my cdl a license but I only learned on a 6 speed. I never learned how to drive with a 10 or 13 speed and I’m pretty bummed about that so now I’m thinking I might only have to use automatic or auto shift trucks.

I'm not sure of WEL specifically, why don't you ask the recruiter? Does your CDLA license have a class E restriction on it? That's what denotes 'auto shift/automatic only.'

Check your license, call your recruiter, and apply to more companies, here:

Even though I have lots to do while I'm home today, I must be bored 😉 I went to Wel's website and they have a question box, so I asked about their trucks and training. This is the answer from Randall:

We only have automatic Trucks at this time. We have a paid training program for new and inexperienced Drivers

No it doesn’t because I took my cdl a road test in a 6 speed.
