Local CDL Trucking Job 5 PM to 7 AM..

You need experience. Take an OTR job for a year then have at it as long as you keep your CDL clean.

Certain fields of truck driving WILL take new to driving in a heart beat ! Find that field & be willing to move ! You're looking for work, don't limit yourself to one location or type of driving..... end of story ! Unless you want to end your story at a 9-5 local grocery delivery driving job ?

Class B - want to change to Class A

I have my CDL-B license, and I would like to now go for my class A. Do I need to retake the test all over or just do the driving portion of the test? Anyone have any suggestions on this?

I'll guess a yes to both, Class A VS Class B is different on both test an driving.

Ready Mix Driver! Wanting to move into OTR or Local

Location is a plus for starters. Any Class A CDL driving is a plus no matter what or where. When it comes to CDL driving, what you're applying for also depends on your experience... to a point & the employer needs.

Over 14 hours - Do we pay?

Either way it sounds like you're ****1ey company to work for, that finds ways to not pay their drivers OT when paid hourly !

If the Driver is paid hourly then he is paid hourly for hours worth being paid ! There's the 16 hour rule that makes it legal to drive/work 16 hours, though only allowed once per week (if have been home base for X days to start)

How to get my application approved for truck driving school.

You don't need their approval to get a CDL. Money talks BS walks ! You can get a CDL anywhere !

Pay for your own truck driving school to get your CDL A+ , & don't become a B to those fools

Looking to get Class A CDL but also paid during class training

As the saying goes " go big or go home ! " Get a Class A or Go home. Also have endorsements to go with that A, Hazmat is a plus, tanker & doubles/triples. Without these you'll just be an OTR *****
