I just found a new free app called Trucker's Path that seems pretty sweet with locations for Low Clearances, Scales, Rest Areas, Wal-marts, Truck Stops, Parking, Weigh Stations, Truck Wash, etc.

I wouldn't mind paying a little if the data is reliable. Has anyone out there ever used it?
Being a rookie here (well not quite even that), I hope I can ask a rookie question. How do you drivers get your underpass clearance information? Do these GPS's provide them? Thanks
i found an app called "Smart Trucker Route" that is supposed to have that kinda stuff in it. Its a pay app and i was not gonna start testing it until i got in with a trainer.

We see tons of Gordon trucks on the left coast...I've not talked with many drivers, but the few i have spoken with were happy in their position with this company..... So you "new guys" speak up....how is Gordon for keeping you rolling, mileage pay, benefits ??
Thanks Starcar!

Well I managed to get my self in with Gordon Trucking. (Anyone got info on them)
They are paying for me to fly out from KC, MO to Indianapolis, IN on Sunday. Start orientation Monday. I'm praying for no set backs like I had at prime, but so far, everything seams to be going great.
Two days of orientation and a test out and I'm in my own truck.
Also get a sign on bonus which is nice. Guess my 11 months with swift counts for something. ;)
Here's to a new chapter.
David
Would love to know how things are going. Looking at Gordon after getting my CDL. Expected mileage? CPM for rookies? Thanks!

CDL School 4 weeks or 160 hours cost?
Sorry, I guess I should have said, "could someone please TELL ME" :) Thank you.
I would guess about 4k +/- 1K depending on location, quality, amenities, etc.

I got my start date for training
I have been studying the High Road program myself. I test for my permit next Monday. Hoping for the best. I think I live on TT CDL training pages!
