My prime experience

I guess you would have to be there. I don't think the trainer did anything wrong; maybe he had to 'hurry-up' the load and it might not be the best moment for Kyle to do it under stress. As far as the log is concerned I won't have logged as 'driving'. He is in a parking lot. Any work related time is supposed to be logged as 'on-duty', which is driving or hooking-up, dock work, etc. Study your 'hours of service again as needed. Stay safe.

Many of the systems will change on-duty to driving whenever the truck moves. I never suggested that he chage on-duty to driving.

Hi G-town, I'm not second guessing you reply. Just giving Kyle my two centssmile.gif Take care and be safe.

Start driving for PAM on 12/07/15

I've drove for about 4 years but I'm out of it right now. I went down a similar road as you are now. First, these companies are pretty much the same as far as the training goes. If it gets too tough don't walk away from the truck or you will have a hard time getting another trucking job. If you think something isn't safe then its not, especially in the winter. Keep an open mind. Once you get that first year in you can right your own ticket. Keep your CDL 'clean'. It's not the company's property it's yours. Most of all; be safe. Good luck with your adventure!

Have CDL-A But no School or Road Experience

Hello Mark, I'm in a similar situation. Prime and other companies have offered for me to come on-board but they want me to 'update' my training. I pulled doubles for three years and ran local too. But it was along time ago. I'm looking to get out of my current occupation (20 years) and I want to get back into trucking. It's just something you have to accept. Think of it as an investment. Good luck!

I'm freaking out!!!!

I don't think you have anything to worry about. You did the right thing. I was accepted to Prime but I haven't schedule my orientation yet. I don't think this will be a big deal for them if this is the only miscue. Stay positive and consistent; that's what they want to see. Good luck!

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE BAD OR NOT?

I was diagnosed with stage one hypertension 3+ years ago. I take medication (with no side affect) and have had consistent 'normal' reading since. I do monitor myself. You will qualify for a 1 year ticket. Once your diagnosed that's all you get. I have never been turned down a job offer because of my 1 year certification.
