I would talk to an accountant or tax preparer. Everyone's situation can be a little different. Schneider makes new drivers take the per diem in each check for I believe 3 or 6 months, they charge like 1 1/2 to 2 cents for doing that. I opted out at the end of last year, but my tax preparer doesn't think I will benefit that much or at all by going that route. I guess I will see come April.

Is there a specific company I can look at for a dedicated route?
I know Schneider has a dedicated account, International Paper that is based in Kenton, OH and they do a few runs to Florida. I just ran a load from Kenton to Orlando and Miami last week. I am not sure if they are hiring in Florida, but am pretty sure they are hiring out of Ohio.

Check the major carriers. Schneider hires for a few Dedicated accounts for new drivers. It will depend on where you live and if they are hiring in that area. I would guess same for other carriers that hire for dedicated.

There are a couple ways around to change it.
1. You can use detour feature. Click on step-by-step driving instructions and click on road you don't want to take, highlight and press "Detour" and it will re-route you. This may not get you on the route you want though.
2. You can use the multi-stop trip to setup your route, basically have to input in each new route point
both the ones above are through your GPS, last suggestion below is using online planning tool. or
3. Use the TripMaker® online planning tool to plan a trip with multiple via points and download those to the TND™ as a multi-stop trip. (Note: TripMaker® does not provide truck-specific routing. Your device will calculate a route, based on the vehicle and route settings, at the start of the multi-stop trip.) Access TripMaker® on the Rand McNally Dock™ or go to: randmcnally.com/tripmaker

Becoming a trainer how much experience do you need
Thanks Brett, I didn't know that information was available here.
My company has been trying to get me to train for a while now. I love teaching/training people, I did it in the restaurant business for years. I am just not sure if I want to do it with drivers, the information should help me make my decision.

Just met my first ******bag trucker.....
I would have practiced my backing by pulling in next to him. Really get him to s**t by putting him on your blind side.
You do know a tire thumper is not only used on tires.

I had the Coleman 40 qt it lasted about 6-weeks. Picked up a 24-qt Koolatron from Pilot with my points. Not as big as Coleman, but it keeps things ice cold and has lasted over a year and is still working.

Best way through Cincinnati 71 south to 75
I would go with either Samuel or Miracleofmagick advice. Lot of construction going through the heart of Cincinnati the last year+
