DOT Physical and Medical card

I was planning on taking the written part and get my cdl permit today, but I was reading on the Illinois website on what I needed to bring. They weren't completely clear about the medical card. I know you need one for you to get your actual cdl, but what about just for the permit?

Since I'm going to Henderson Trucking's school I'll still be in Illinois so I would still have to choose interstate instead of intra right?

Reward cards

Thanks everybody, I'll definitely get whatever ones I'm eligible for. Just wanted to make sure I'm as prepared as I can be.

Reward cards

I'll be leaving for school very soon, I was wondering if there are any rewards cards I should get ahead of time to be a little bit more prepared down the road. Or is this something I should just wait until I am solo and get them then?

Hey yall. Here goes. On our way to O'Fallon IL to start school for Earl L. Henderson. We are so super excited. Of course my husband has driven before for about 10 years and got out of it for a while and now I am gonna doit with him, so Im a lil more nervous than him. Any calming words of advice for this rookie gal?

Deep breaths, stay focused and listen to the people teaching you. I'll be there on the 26th, perhaps I'll catch you guys around the yard.

Anyone watch him?

I've watched a few of his videos, he seems to really like his company and pushes a lot of it's info into videos, it's like he is a driver/recruiter.

Best company for a beginner

I just recently got my cdl and now I'm trying to decide which company to go with Schneider I've been talking to but should I consider any one else? I Live in Missouri

Like others have said, whatever suits you and your families needs. Since your in Missouri I would take a look into Prime as well, they're based in Springfield. There is also Henderson trucking, they're based out of Salem IL, but the yard is in Collinsville just east of St. Louis.

Favorite YouTube trucker

I'd say Allie is my favorite youtube driver, 2nd would be Johnny be good (JBG Travels). Allie got off track a bit when she switched companies, weird not seeing her pulling a flatbad, but she's back after getting settled in her new truck.
