Reward Cards

I'll be leaving for school very soon, I was wondering if there are any rewards cards I should get ahead of time to be a little bit more prepared down the road. Or is this something I should just wait until I am solo and get them then?

Loves,pilot/flying j and ta/petrol... That's all you need if your a company driver for one of the mega companies.... I prefer loves cuz if you get diamond status for the next month you get 4 points for every gallon and one point is one cent...

Nearly every Truck Stop chain has a reward card. Besides the reward points, you quickly get free showers (a $13 value!), and maybe some other free things.

Just the first time you stop in during training, ask for the application. You should walk out with a valid reward card. (Note: TA/Petro sends your card home, but you get a paper temp card, "for now".)

I got my CB free with my points from Pilot/Flying J. You have to resist the temptation to use your points to buy coffee, pop, etc or they will never build up to get the bigger items. The cashier's always ask me do I want to use points if I buy a drink but I just tell them no, I am saving them up. I think the chain's would rather see you fritter them away, frankly. You will be amazed at how fast they can accumulate!

If the truck stop is near by your house go get them but don't go out your way until you start driving cuz you can't get points unless you get diesel..

.....and you're going to go out with a trainer in the beginning and he's going to collect the points on his cards when you guys fuel. So it probably won't be until you go solo that you'll start accumulating anything noteworthy.

Brett my trainer was cool and let me get the points cuz he knew I could use them and he was a l/p trainer.. So you might get one like mine... Just saying...
