TERMINATION

You might catch a break with a moving company or something. But hit and runs are a big no no

Frustrated, end of my patience.

I'm sorry you have to go through this. The job is hard enough without people who like to cause workplace drama.

Does Western Express hair test

I'm not a Dr but I don't think that cutting your hair will help unless you shave it. And even that is taking a chance. Your best bet if you're in doubt and they're testing is don't even show up and say you got a warehouse job or something. A failed drug test on the dac is hard to recover from

Is this right for me?

It all depends on where she lives.

I'd like to be optimistic for you, but right now you're not going to find that home daily job that will train you. It's not a realistic option.

Fringe benefits of trucking

What is one of your favorite fringe benefits of the job? Mine is being able to town on brakes with a hammer. Besides welders and carpenters what other career do you get paid for taking the aggressions of the day out on metal with a hammer.

Narcan

Probably equally as expensive to sue someone for issuing them narcan.

You guys are discussing aspects of this issue that I have no knowledge of, although I find the comments very interesting.

One thing I wonder about is the Good Samaritan issue. Perhaps there have been no successful lawsuits against a Good Samaritan, but even so, what would it cost the Good Samaritan to defend himself? Even if he knew he was in the right, attorney bills could sink his financial ship.

Is that a valid point?

Narcan

There hasn't been a successful lawsuit against a lay person for performing cpr or first aid

double-quotes-start.png

The second reason being one that most aren’t aware of and that’s the legal and civil liability involved with providing first aid to someone. You are responsible for the actions you take so you had better know your ****

double-quotes-end.png

There is no liability for non-professional responders to an accident. Lawsuits like what you are talking about have been brought in court and US courts have ruled that a non-professional cannot be held to professional standards in emergency situations.

Sent Home From Roehl

You know what they call the person who passed the bar exam after failing 4 times? a lawyer. It doesn't matter how long it takes you to get there if you get there

double-quotes-start.png

If we have been given all the information, the only thing I can think of is that maybe Roehl has raised their standards due to less demand for new drivers.

double-quotes-end.png

Yeah I’m pretty sure that was it since I’m still rehireable with roehl and I don’t owe them for school since I didn’t take the test. But I just got approved today with a better opportunity to train with Millis and work for heartland after I obtain my cdl.
