Schneider or JB Hunt

I'm just finished my 3rd week as a solo driver for Schneider. I went through their training program in November. I can't say anything bad about them. My experience so far has been positive. if you have any specific questions I would be happy to answer if I can. Good luck!

Week was going great then...

So I'm in my 3rd week solo and things are starting to flow a lot better now. I'm catching on quickly and figuring out what works best for me. Well yesterday there was a wrench thrown into the works. One of my stops was to be a drop and hook and that is what I planned for. It turned out to be a live load with a 4 hour delay. Totally ate up my planned driving time. I wanted to get this load to its destination before the bad weather. Running low on hours, 11, 14 and 70 I had to turn the load into a relay and lose a bunch of miles. Ended up making a whopping $36 bucks driving 100 miles in terrible conditions. Just glad I'm home now relaxing with my family. I know this is part of trucking but I just needed to vent. Stay safe

Why I quit Prime's TNT Program

One of the things at the top of my list when graduating from cdl school was which company has quality training with the least team time. I chose Schneider. 3 weeks of training with 1 week OTR with a trainer. 40k miles is way too much time sharing that small space.

How hard do you run everyday?

Finished my second week solo yesterday and drove about 2200 miles this past week. Most days were between 10 and 12 hours on duty. One thing I'm not liking is the 34 hour reset. It's not enough Home time for me.

Schneider Training for new CDL holders

I completed my 3 weeks of training with Schneider a little over a week ago. This past week was my first week solo. My 3 weeks of training was cut a little short due to the thanksgiving holiday. A little more training on the Qualcomm and paperwork would have been nice. Overall I really have nothing bad to say. It's been a positive expericance so far.

1st week of solo driving complete!

Finished my first week of drivin solo and I'm happy to report that I didn't hit anything! Lol I will admit that I did put the trailer tires over a curb. I drove about 2000 miles and even took a few showers. It was an experience. My only issue was missing my family. After working from home for the past 15 years I'm not used to being away from them. Not sure I will ever get used to it either. Hopefully I can get moved to a local route in 6 months.

Schneider people I need your help

Thanks for the replays. I slapped delivery stickers on everything and sent it. I'm sure someone will contact me if I screwed up. This evening I used the app to transflo. That worked well too. New question, do you approve your logs every day or at the end of the week?

Schneider people I need your help

I'm on day 3 as a solo driver for Schneider and I need to transflo some bills of lading. My questions. 1. Do I transflow the packing list as well? 2. Do I transflow all of my scale tickets including reweighs? 3. I delivered to a Costco and they gave me signed receipts that are stickers about 4x5 inches. Do I stick them on the bill of lading or transflow them separate? Thanks in advance. Jason

I'm off to Schneider Orientation

What a difference a truck can make. I enjoyed my sleep last night and my driving today. I'm currently in Richmond VA. Tomorrow I'll be headed to Raymond NH.
