The Necessity of Parallel Parking

Better know how to parallel park if you want to park in some rest areas. Take it slow and don't over correct. Parallel wasn't part of my CDL test....took a couple of years to get it....sometimes I still struggle.

CFI says thank you.

Got this from my company last week when I got the load from hell. Everything had to go perfect. The shipper waited for me (Americold Cherokee Iowa...they were incredible) had me loaded in 15 minutes...not kidding. Had to wait a few minutes to get my 8 hrs back. Got to the reciever 30 minutes early the next morning....45 minutes later I was empty...

Now go onto YouTube and look up Paul Harvey's, "The Farmer" speech from 50 years ago.

Not very original CFI...

My first thought....I miss dignified men like Paul Harvey

Brakes just caught on fire and burned trailer.

Can't imagine a company putting an inexperienced drive in that situation?

Anyone know anything about Butler Transportation?

I've been driving for Butler almost 3 years. Even when I was new, it surprised me how everyone knew my name. Good and bad with most every company, but I make good money, am treated well, I'd say my time with them has been a positive experience. If you are taking hometime for an event, make it a day earlier so they get you home. Not always the company's fault..so always give yourself enough time.

PA Turnpike Closure

Talking to some drivers in PA yesterday...100 mile detour. So many of the roads around there, trucks aren't allowed. Got out of there.

So I decide to walk away on the 3rd day of company orientation

If that was enough to make you consider self harm or suicide, please do not consider a job driving a truck. It isn’t for you.

Nailed it...

How are you doing brother?

Random recruiter call

If you click on a job on FB to see what its about, you will get contacted by multiple companies...not a bad thing. Just be diligent...
