Ok so on Monday 3/29 I had my test at the dmv in Vegas. I passed the pretrip but failed on the skills (alley dock) used to many points. So had to wait for the school to reschedule a test for me. Finally after a week and a half they offer me to go to Phoenix at there location their since they are 3rd party ( Vegas is to but they are in an audit so can’t test there). I have to redo my skills then drive. Have to be at the school at 8 am tomo they will let me practice and then take test. Sitting in hotel room now and can’t wait for tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

Consider yourself blessed, and 'worth it,' Ryne!

Second chances are IMHO, where MOST drivers (aspiring) shine! Your accommodations are awesome! You've followed O/S's advice, I see, for sure!

That says a S*#t$ ton 'to me' about the entity you are with. Just, IMHO!

Best wishes, good sir.

Rune, I teach CDL classes.

Just yesterday one student passed the skills alley dock with FOUR pull-ups! The pull ups (first two "free") helped him avoid any encroachments. Remember, pull ups are one point, encroachments are two points plus a pull up.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Awesome thanks for that sir! I was just frustrated the first time and wasn’t thinking but looking back if I would of just stopped and took a breath I would of passed it. But live and learn and do better the next time.

Don't forget to use as many free GOALs as allowed. Things look different from behind the trailer.
