AI is on the way!

I've added our Wiki Articles and our Truck Driver's Career Guide to the knowledge base, so it's using those now, as well.

Yeah, I saw plenty of links to articles and other related info.

Another cool thing is that their is a human feel to the responses. It's not simply spitting out cold facts. The bot seems to have a pleasant, positive way of reiterating the question and presenting it's answers. It might not seem important, but it is a nice touch!

I tried to play a game of "stump the chatbot". The chatbot us strong and not easily distracted. Responses are in quotes.

Reported my first driver to their company today

It sounds legit. Especially in those conditions! It certainly doesn't come off as a petty complaint made out of frustration. It's a bona fide safety issue. I hope they take your report seriously.

FedEx courier looking for OTJ CDL training

A lot of people think they need to live near their employer in order to get hired by them. It makes it seem that their options are limited.

yeah, i signed up for this stuff but yall dont seem to offer anything in my area.

I'm not sure if you made an assumption that some of these companies are too far away and decided not to even try to apply, or if they actually contacted you and said they didnt hire drivers from your area.

Just to make it perfectly clear: It doesn't matter (for the most part) where you live in relation to your chosen company's headquarters or terminals.

You can live in Connecticut and work for a company based in California if you want. If you are an Over The Road driver you can decide where you want to spend your home time no matter how far from a terminal you may be.

Any place in the entire country (for the most part) is available to choose as your home time destination. If you want to take 4 days in Texas to visit family, that's no problem.

How was your 2023?

For the most recent hiring info in your area, go to drive4walmart.com and navigate your way to the postings.

Once you come over to our side, you'll never go back. Hit me up

Thanks for the info. I'll have plenty of questions when I decide to make the switch. For now I will see how this new regional, mileage pay thing works out with Barr-Nunn. I like the company and my fleet manager.

How was your 2023?

RealDiehl,

I just read that you live in or near Pedricktown, NJ. I was born, raised and drove all thru NJ. I used to stop daily at Exit 7 truck stop off I-295 and was wondering what ever became of it? I know it closed years ago and was for sale but have never found any recent information. Thank you for any update.

I'm sorry. I wasn't even aware of a truck stop off of exit 7. As long as I can remember there have been truck stops at exit 2 (Flying J, Pilot, and an off brand one. There is another one at the Deepwater Diner close by. Off Exit 18 there used to be a 76 truck stop when I was growing up. It's a TA now.

Maybe they demolished the old truck stop to build the warehouses that are off of exit 7 now (including the Walmart ones).

How long ago were you there last?

That sounds like a huge project, Brett! Are you tackling this tech stuff solo, or do you have anyone helping you out? Based on your enthusiasm, it sounds to me like it's a labor of love either way.

Just Got the Hammer from C R England

Ouch! Very sorry to hear that. Just curious...did they ever give you any verbal or written warnings prior to your termination? Also, do CRE trucks have a camera or radar that beeps at you when you are following too closely?

Good to see you RD. That was a nice year you had!

Hey! Thanks. Walmart pf is something I'm considering in the not too distant future. Quick question: there are some walmart facilities about 7 miles away from where I live, in Pedricktown, NJ. I didnt even know they were there until I started picking up loads from there a year and a half ago. They are fairly new. Do you know if private fleet drivers work out of one of these places?

...Plus, I was wondering what happened with Real Diehl. Hadn’t heard from him for a while, good to know he’s still alive and kicking

Hello, Bruce! My online activity just goes through phases. Like the seasons. I always check in from time to time. I'm just not as active at all times due to things going on externally. It looks as if my Philadelphia Eagles are trying to throw their season away, so I might be around here more often.
