When I pulled dedicated for Walmart out of North Platte, NE. Their policy was to verify the trailer is empty by talking to the store manager or someone who would let you in the back door, so stuff like this wouldn't happen. Because sometimes they close the docks before fully unloading the trailer, and this kind of stuff happens. Walmart takes safety very serious.

I never had an encounter like that, but I’ve had on multiple occasions felt like someone was in my truck, I remember being in NY a few years ago, driving down the high way around midnight and all of sudden I just felt like someone was in my truck, since I had stopped 10 miles back for fuel, so I pulled over on the side of the road multiple times to check my truck top to bottom, and I just couldn’t shake the feeling, went on for about 30-40 minutes before I finally felt fine again. Couldn’t explain it, but my wife is into all this paranormal stuff, and said something about how a sprite or something could’ve caught a ride with me, not sure. Til this day when I tell this story, makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

My normal assigned truck is currently in the shop for a B service and some error codes with no estimate time as of yet. So I requested a loaner truck to stay productive.

The only available truck they had was a day cab…

They decided to set me up in a hotel room every night while I’m using this truck. I’m currently planned to run from PA->GA, GA->OH, OH->TN for my home time before getting a return load to PA to get my truck back.

Pretty interesting situation, and I wasn’t expecting a day cab when I requested a loaner truck. But I wanted to stay productive while my truck is down, so I ran with it. Lucky for me a lot of hotels are commonly near truck stops.

Dan, you can overcome this problem. My Eureka moment with backing came when an instructor told me to turn the steering wheel “to the trouble”. In other words, if the back of the trailer is too far to the left, turn the wheel to the left. If too far to the right, turn to the right. I’m not sure if this will help you, but it was the advice that made the most sense to me and I’ve used it ever since.

This is basically the advice I got while getting my CDL a few years ago, and it helped out a lot. Once you get used to backing it’ll come second nature. I also have dyslexia.

A few months ago, I got 96 rolls of TP. Other then that, I never had anything rejected/damaged that they didn’t keep.

Not sure which school you went too, or is going too. But I was required to take a DOT physical and drug test in day one when I got my CDL back in 2018.

Another wound update, it’s looking better it seems. I know it’s really red, that’s due to the jumbo band aids I’m currently using to cover the wound, I think it’s on my leg to tight or something.

BTW, have you tried a battery tender? I keep my battery on it from November till March, works really well.

I actually put them on a battery tender while I was home but after I burnt my leg. I didn’t think about it until then, and after burning myself, I remembered about the battery tenders 20 feet away.

Where I live, you can basically ride up until January before winter really starts to show up.

Regardless, I know it’s not infected and on its way of healing eventually which is good news to me!

Funny enough, it doesn’t really hurt. It’s just leaking fluid every now and then.
