Getting Hire With Preventable Accidents

Finally we found out you hit a low bridge. Nobody here will scorn you or laugh at you so everybody just spit it out and I'm sure you will get an abundance of good advice.

Remember: If you tell us hogwash we will give you advice based on hogwash.

Y'all, Pray For Me

That's why I cant sit at the coffee counter in truck stops. Just cant stand the Federal Marshal stories, how they cussed out their dispatcher, outsmarted the DOT, the waitresses they've charmed, the coast to coast 100mph state police escorts when they've had a death in the family and all the lies about their military service. Everybody was a SEAL. Green Beret, Recon, Ranger, Sniper or some other black ops bad guy. Didn't the Army have any old dog faces soldiers, the Navy any old swabbies and the Marines plain old grunts?

I cant stand it...just cant stand it. I feel for you Old School. I will pray for an early departure from that place.

Good lyrics but Haggard or Jones would have really done it justice.

Just wait, Donna...you will see worse.

Two side notes here: You were right in braking and letting g him come over. Always allow yourself an escape route in case you need to change lanes in an emergency situation.

Also a professional driver never looks for a confrontation. Sure these does make you angry but don't show it.

You retaliate and then they retaliate back. It escalates until someone gets hurt or killed. Maybe that someone is an innocent bystander.

Guys, none of this had to do with chaining up. It was about the requirement of having the proper (required) amount of chains on the truck.

You're right. It is the drivers responsibility to insure he has adequate chains for the area he is going to but was this covered in school? New drivers do get excited and forget so maybe that's what happened.

You can have a whole trailer load of chains but they are useless unless you know how to put them on.

Good comment from Steve Reno. Being a rookie does your husband even know how to chain up? Did C.R. England teach him how in school?

Maybe his trainer was supposed to show him but you said he abandoned him?

Not a good idea to send a rookie to that part of the country even in the summer if he had not has OJT on mountain driving and chain installation in winter.

$235,000 a year Trucking???

I forgot to mention that this program is only for both drivers that have at least 12 months of experience so you would not be eligible for this program now. I mentioned that you do have to be a hard driving team. You will work hard for every penny to make this goal. How much do you value your home time?
