I'm planning on going thru CT Transport to obtain my cdl because they offer schooling at no cost up front to you and signing a one year contract. I was told I'd be going out to Missouri or Jacksonville, Fla to one of there approved schools. Does anyone have any helpful info on CT Transport, thanks in advance.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

I was told I'd be going out to Missouri or Jacksonville, Fla to one of there approved schools. This is a flatbed company and that's what took my attention because I'd also like to stay active. What are the pros and cons of flatbed driving with this company and all together? Does anyone have any helpful info on CT Transport, thanks in advance.
