I don't drive yet as I keep running into delays on the homefront. I think I'm looking at after the holidays at this point, if I get to go at all!

I have faith that you will become a great trucker, if this is what you want to do. Hopefully all is well on the home front with you and your families. Like I stated above I don't drive yet wither but I will be soon. What companies are you checking out? Now is the time to be doing your research!
I know you have probably seen my questions in the main forum about what company to go with and a host of other things. Get as much information as you can now. There's no such thing as too much knowledge.
I don't have my cdl yet, I just got my permit and am in school. Just had day 2 on the range and I'm exhausted and frustrated.

Sorry for the error. That is still a big accomplishment because that makes you one step closer so once again congrats. Do you mind sharing some of your frustrations with us? It might be something that we can learn from or even help with.

New! Check out our help videos for a better understanding of our forum features
Hi, Ladies!! I agree with Sue D. (Mothertrucker). This forum is so dead. From what I hear, there are few females who are in trucking and even fewer who want to do it because of the lifestyle. So I think we ought to be there more for each other and try getting on here and answering some questions. In the general forum, there are some guys who answer to like everything, like Brett, Old School, and Errol. So let's at least get some of us who answer to as much as we can.
If I learn something new, I will post it on the site. In about a month or so, I should be in CDL school and I will try to post my experiences and things I've learned both here and in the new forum. If you guys learn something new, try to do the same. Let's liven it up a bit! They gave us our own forum so they must have thought we had some valuable help for each other!
We can make it in trucking!! We can do it!!
I would like to give a shout out to Sue D. Mothertrucker for completing her training and nabbing that CDL!!
I would also like to say if you are looking for tips or advice for certain things that pertain to being a female trucker, Youtube has some great videos. They don't address everything but they cover a lot! Try subscribing to WomenTruckersNetwrok or at least watching some of their videos. They do have a great community and do a great job of sticking together and giving tips and advice. Also, I would recommend checking out a lot of Allie Knight's videos. She shows you a lot of her life as a trucker on the road with her cat. I watched one where she got pulled over for a regular level one check and talked a little bit about what to do when that happens. Great info from a female trucker with a great personality!!
What are some of the trucking companies that you all are driving for? Do we have any ladies here that are driving for Swift? Schneider? Prime?
