Very interesting! Personally whenever I'm getting sleepy but don't have time for a long sleep, I have always taken a 30 minute nap and THEN some coffee (or an energy drink), followed by a little bit of exercise to get the blood flowing, but I haven't tried drinking coffee BEFORE the nap. I should try this and see how it works. Thanks for the info Aperture! :)

I have heard this before -- that it takes about 20 minutes for caffeine to filter through your system and begin to have an affect. I originally heard this on the John Tesh radio show. He said to the early afternoon pick-me-up, to drink a cup of coffee and then have a 20 minute power nap. Then you wake about the same time the caffeine is kicking in. It sounds counter-intuitive, but it works.
