Andy, don't listen to the malcontents that post these negative comments. You do not hear both sides of the story.

Go to a busy truck stop. You will see Knight trucks if you stick around long enough, or other companies that may interest you too for that matter. Talk to the drivers while they are fueling or are coming and going from the store or restaurant in the TS. Look a man in the eye as he talks to you, and you will get a lot better idea of what the company is actually like. Read their body language. I have done this recently, and only two drivers were really negative on their companies. One of them I could tell right away was the likely problem and not his company, as he was obnoxious. I wonder how many of the complaints at Glassdoor, etc are from drivers and ex drivers just like him?

All the other drivers were positive and said pretty much the same thing. The job like any other is what you make of it. Work hard and hold up your end of the bargain, and life will be easier for you, especially after you have proven yourself.

All of them I talked to were more than willing to talk, btw.
