I hope you don't have to ride the greydog from California. The ride from Virginia is 30 hours. I couldn't bring myself to do it. I rented a one-way car rental an I'm driving the 14 hours starting at 3pm on Saturday.

Yeah I'm greydoggin it buddy hahaha! It's free with Prime, it's a bit of an adventure, and I figured I might have a little easier later if I can get accustomed to such grueling conditions😄

That car rental can't be cheap? I looked into one when I head to my orientation and was shocked at the cost. Bus ride looks fine after seeing the cost.

Word of advice, if you plan on getting your CDL Permit in Springfield find the Moussuri manual online and study NOW! They have made changes to their program and give you hardly any time to study for it. I was there last week as well and you would be surprised how many people got sent home because they couldn't pass their tests.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Congrats. Your already ahead of 75% of your class. I studied at home religiously however I am waiting to finish the permit at Springfield. What part of VA you from?

Lynchburg...you? Are you on the greyhound? I just couldn't do it. I rented a car and I'm leaving around 3pm.
