AURORA - Northbound Interstate 225 was partially closed Friday morning at East Alameda Boulevard due to a semi-truck wreck that may have involved alcohol.
According to Aurora Police, around 2:45 a.m., officers went to the scene of the crash and found a Pensky Box Type truck.
The truck had exited the roadway and got stuck between the jersey barrier and the bridge support.
Prior to coming to a stop, the semi struck a light pole and a sign.
Several tow trucks, including Aurora Fire Department Heavy Rescue, responded to the scene to help get the semi out of the way of traffic.
Traffic reopened around 6:45 a.m.
According to police, the driver of the semi was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.
