Hey Steve. How much practice on the road have you had? Is there another instructor that could take you out to practice? If your not confident or comfortable driving in the road they should allow you more time to practice. Are you in private school?

Yikes!! That is not much time and unfortunate your instructor treated you that way. My advice to you is do your best to relax and stay calm. Keep that truck in gear and watch your trailer. Study your pre-trip over the weekend. I do it on my pick up and pretend it a tractor. Just go through it like you would on a tractor and trailer but in you car. Helps me that way. At any rate just breathe and do your best. Good luck!!

Driving a truck is like driving a car just longer.... Use your head stay calm and watch your mirrors... The instructor wants you to pass but needs to make sure you can maintain control of the truck... If you miss a gear no problem get it back in gear as quick as possible... Can't find it grind it... The instructor needs to see that you can up shift down shift and recover if needed and make sure you are paying attention to what's going on around you...

The cool thing is that the tester is not going to yell unless you are about to drive over a cliff. Just take things slow and easy and you will be fine.
