Does anyone know anything about the cdl training at this school? The web site is pretty vague.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

I have I actually went to the school. Honestly i would take this school over taking a 2 year degree school all over again. They have awesome instructors that will actually show you how to drive and maneuver and then have you do it. You get plenty of time on the road since they are small classes and great time learning stuff that you will actually need to know. I know when i was looking i saw the tennessee truck driving institute or whatever and they sounded alright but they are completely a crock of crap. Let me know if you have any questions man.i dont get anything for making reviews i rather you just go to a good school then getting screwed at one that just wants your money. Peak is def the best one period

What is the pay off for this place? What kind of finance charge percentage do they charge.

You went there so you should be able to give me a ballpark figure..

Just trying to decide if I want to use them or get a personal loan at the credit union for a better rate and payoff.

Thanks for the reply btw, apparently no one else knew anything about them.

Dont remember exactly what the exact amount was perhaps $4400. I used their financial aid and i didnt put any money down whatsoever since well. I didnt have money lol. I think youd have a higher interest or fiancance percentage using a credit union then them since they are in house. I can always look and get exact numbers. Give Jill a call she be able to accurately telll you everything bud.

How long ago did you go there? Did they have recruiters show up and try to sell their companies?

I went there in april of 2015. Yeah they have recruiters come in from a bunch of different companies which is cool because you can ask all the questions you want face to face and if you dont have a companie already lined up before school then you have a bunch of choices already there for you. Most of these companies also have tuition reimbursement too
